Restoring an old backup can resurrect outdated whitelist/ops files—or overwrite a newer whitelist you edited live.
Checklist after restore
- Confirm whitelist on/off matches community intent
- Re-add players who joined after the backup timestamp
- Verify ops list is still minimal
- Have two players test join
- Take a fresh named backup of the corrected state
