How to Start Enshrouded on GlassHosting: Password Groups and Ports
GlassHosting runs Enshrouded dedicated servers for survival crafting with friends. Always-on hosting with game panel control — Glass Gaming powered by GlassHosting.
1. Order and open the game panel
After checkout, open your Enshrouded server in the GlassHosting game panel. Note the allocated IP and query port shown for your instance.
2. Set server name and passwords
Enshrouded uses role-based password groups (for example Admin, Friend, Guest). In the panel configuration or enshrouded_server.json via File Manager / SFTP:
- Set a friendly server name.
- Change default passwords for each group before inviting players.
- Share only the password that matches the access level you want friends to have.
- Adjust slot count if your plan and egg settings allow it.
3. Start the server
Click Start. When the console shows the host/session online, the server is ready. Friends connect with the server browser or direct connect using your IP and query port, plus the password for their group.
4. Ports checklist
Allow the assigned query port (and any accompanying game ports listed in the panel) so players can find and join your server. Confirm both directions work after the first start.
5. Saves and restarts
Use a clean Stop in the panel before major config edits. Download save folders via File Manager or SFTP if you want a local copy. Optional backup add-ons retain scheduled copies.
